What we collect, why, and who can see it. Afferent is infrastructure: your data is yours, and we process it only to store, index and deliver it on your instruction.
What we collect
Account details (name, email, organisation), billing details, usage metadata (bytes stored, deliveries, API calls) and the files and tags you upload.
How we use it
To run the service, bill you, secure accounts and respond to support requests. We do not train models on your data and never sell it.
Public profiles
Only the fields you choose to publish appear on your partner profile: organisation name, location, aggregate hours, devices and blurred samples.
Sharing
Data leaves Afferent only when you share a link or deliver to a destination you name. Payment processing is handled by a PCI-compliant processor.
Retention and deletion
Delete sessions, projects or your account at any time. Deleted objects are purged from storage within 30 days; invoices are retained as required by law.
Contact
Write to hormonia@gmail.com for requests about your data, including access and erasure.
